Tournament Rules
General Rules and Info
Tournaments Series will last at least 2 weeks each.
Prizes: Prize pool is funded by donations, and sometimes registration fees.
May include a variety of Steam game keys, or eventually gaming PC’s
All those performed well will receive promotions, and the first, second, and third place will receive podium roles. (Goes for all Officially Partnered Servers)
Before each game Tournament Officials will send a message with a ping that notifies the public that a game is beginning in less than half an hour.
Streaming the tournament match:
–>In 1v1s, at least one contestant must stream unless neither side has good enough equipment to stream and play at the same time
–> In 2v2s, at least one of the 4 contestants MUST stream. Recommended would be one person from each team stream, so spectators may watch both sides of the game. (Streamer should be different from game host unless they are on very good connection and hardware)
When streaming, the current contestants will be server deafened so the spectators can discuss. This is different for 2v2s, where the contestants will not be muted and deafened so they can devise plans. Discussions will happen in the lounge channel.
Cheating will not be tolerated at all, and will result in immediate disqualification. This includes screen peeking, receiving advice from spectators during the match, etc.
At least one Tournament Official has to be present for each match to be counted. A Temporary Tournament Moderator may fill this position if properly assigned to certain matches.
If there is a low amount of participants, the tournament may be on Double Elimination or Round Robin.
If game crashes mid-game Tournament Officials will decide whether to give the victory or rematch.
If you gave a time for your match, but can’t make it, you get one reschedule at least an hour PRIOR to the set match time. If you are a no-show without reschedule you auto forfeit. For team match you have one chance of not showing up without reschedule.
Mod/mode/map/factions will be decided between the contestants prior to each set of matches.
Contestants may agree to ban a certain asset if required.
Matchmaking is done randomly, teams for team games may vary.
If a tournament is taking place during a period of time (and) you know you will not be able to play the games do not join the tournament. Dropping out of a tournament will lower your reputation so in the future if you want to join a tournament you will be picked after people with good liability.
Special Event Tournaments: Nicknamed “SET”, these are tournaments when there are certain limitations to either mod, mode, map, faction, unit, etc. Terms for these types will be clearly stated in the announcement when the signups begin.
